Hello Clan members and People my query for today is,

We've all heard about the parlance in Consulting, "peel the onions" , "boiling the ocean" , "thirty thousand feet bird's view" etc etc etc.

How important jargons are in Consulting and how often do professionals use them?

I would love to hear out from you people.

Thank You

I believe in keeping it simple. Euphemism are best used to explain than confuse. Most consultants think fancy words make them look sophisticated. But, in the long run results count and not the exterior facade. Talking from experience. I have always ventured to be a partner to my customers. If they cannot understand what you are saying you will have the same trouble you will have in a marriage if there is bad communication. As me, anything in moderation is fine if it serves a purpose. Jargon for the sake of it is a waste of time and effort.

Give first - give one more time - then ask for something.
