Hello Clan members and People,my query for the day is

After a point of time, depending upon person to person traveling Monday mornings and flying down on weekends can get really used to.

People do get bored and likely to somewhere not like the fact of travel.

How do Consultants overcome that for their passion? How is their temperament and How do they tackle with these problems of a repetitive schedule?

Looking forward to hear out from you people.

Hi Raman,

Great question.

I know that some consultants fix their schedule in a way that they don't have to travel Monday-Friday every week. They do a "rotation" which means they choose to stay 2, 3, or 4 weeks on site, followed by 2, 3, or 4 weeks at home.

For many consultants no matter how passionate, they choose not to do consulting for the long term unless they can become partners in their companies. For others it's just what they want to do for life.

I hope that helped and all the best to you.

@Raman actually this is one of the primary reasons people leave consulting and go to industry. It is difficult to balance your life with a demanding travel schedule. While the more senior you get, the more control you have is true, it is worth noting that the more senior you are the more the responsibilities and expectations as well.
