Hello Clan members and People, I've got a question in my head which i would like for you guys to answer and share your opinions on.

We're known with the fact that Consultants tend to pull all-nighters.

So,how to deal with all nighters so that it does not hamper my other day's productivity at work?

The idea of consultants having to pull all nighters night after night for months on end is exaggerated in my opinion. There are spells of time where the team is required to work long hours but team members rotate their turns to work the extended hours on a daily basis and  sometimes even on a weekly basis if the project calls for it. On a lighter note, these times call for the concept popularly known as the 'couch effect' in the consulting world where you chose to nap on the sofa and get your 2 hours of sleep to rejuvenate and get back to working since the sofa is not the most ideal place to get sleep and you naturally rather be awake post those 2 hours :p

Yes there are days where you barely get 5 to 6 hours of sleep daily for a month on a demanding client but most managers give you a day or two off on the bench after the report is delivered. If not, there are times consultants have to ask for it and in most cases aren't refused if he/she has really put in the hours when required.
