Absolutely! But it's important to know your areas of expertise and those you'd require assistance with to best suit your client's needs, and to be authentic to this understanding. Everyone benefits from this approach. Hello, 

I agree, management consulting doesn't require IT skills since it's more about processes, performance... Of course if your client is an IT division it helps to understand how an IT shop works. It's functionnal architecture and models. My advice is you can easily get those skill by getting certifications like ITIL or TOGAF.
